El Castellar is a place rich in paleontology. From the Plaza, where the Hotel is located, DINOpaseo starts, a tour around the town where you will find replicas and reconstructions of fossils found in the same town, as well as a life-size replica of a dinosaur. Within the municipality, next to the town, we can visit several sites with authentic dinosaur footprints, being the first permanent exhibition in Spain with original dinosaur bones in the same site where they were found, as well as being completely free of charge.

We can also find the Via Ferrata Jurassic and the via ferrata of the Straits of La Hoz. Both cross the straits of the river Mijares. There are more than a dozen routes for hiking or cycle touring, all of them marked. It is worth mentioning that of the source of the river Mijares (15km), the source of the Malezas (5km), the ascent to Portillo Ramiro (14km) or the route to the Iberian settlement (8km), all of which are within the municipality of El Castellar.
